Festive Time in Cromer for the Thursford Spectacular & the Cromer Christmas Pier Show

Join us as we travel to the wonderful seaside town of Cromer for a delightfully festive break. Alongside a spot of Christmas shopping and a Christmas Festival, the highlight of our tour is the visit to the amazing Thursford Christmas Spectacular. A whole world of yuletide and holiday cheer is created at this truly wonderful and award-winning experience. Originally started as a collection of steam and fairground engines, this really is not to be missed!

The Virginia Court Hotel resides in a quiet tree-lined avenue just three minutes walk from Cromer’s town centre, seafront and pier. This stylish hotel boasts a very pleasant lounge bar and a restaurant serving award winning food. All bedrooms have private bathrooms, TV and refreshment making facilities.

FRIDAY

We depart Macclesfield calling for coffee enroute to Burghley House Christmas Market. The beautiful courtyards and grounds of Burghley House will be filled with festive chalets, pagodas and marquees bedecked in sparkling Christmas decorations for the season. Be sure to take a break from the shopping to enjoy the delicious treats from the very best food and drink producers. From traditional mulled wine and indulgent hot chocolate to warming raclette and tempting sweet and savoury crepês, there’s something to tantalise every tastebud. Mid-afternoon we continue across country to Cromer and our hotel.

SATURDAY

With a day to enjoy at your leisure in Cromer, this afternoon why not go and see the Fabulous Christmas Show at Cromer Pier? A whole heap of festive fun, the show enjoys great reviews year after year and has everything from singing to dancing and comedy sketches! (Tickets approx. £28.00 If you would like a ticket please confirm at the time of booking.)

SUNDAY

Today we take the short journey to the Felbrigg Hall showcasing all its Christmas finery. This year, the downstairs of the hall will be beautifully decorated with Christmas trees, twinkling lights and greenery from the estate. (NT Members: Free; Non-members £14.25). In the afternoon we make our way to Thursford for the magnificent matinee performance of the Christmas Spectacular Show. We arrive in plenty of time to visit the shops and Santa’s Magical Journey before taking our seats for the show. (Tickets will be for either the afternoon or evening performance).

MONDAY

After a breakfast we make our way to Fakenham to see the Christmas Tree Festival in the church. After time for a meander and morning coffee we continue our journey home stopping at Springfields Shopping Outlet in Spalding. You will have ample time for a browse and lunch before we continue our drive. Making a quick comfort stop en-route we aim to arrive early evening.
