Tideswell for The Makers Market & Food Festival
Starting with a lovely scenic run we call at the Peak Village for morning refreshments and a browse. Next, we head to Tideswell for the Brilliant Maker’s Market; with over 50 fabulous food stalls plus lots of live entertainment, you will have ample free time to browse the stalls, sample a few treats and have lunch.

Llandudno for the Victorian Extravaganza
We depart Macclesfield and call for morning coffee en-route to Llandudno for the wonderful Victorian Extravaganza. With old time fair rides and stalls, steam engines, people dressed in period costume and a street parade, come and see this wonderful seaside town in a whole new light. The Llandudno Transport Festival also provides a short heritage bus ride from the town centre. Departing for home late afternoon, you will have ample time to enjoy all Llandudno and this special event has to offer.

Bluebell Time at Calke Abbey – The Un-stately Home & Country Estate
With peeling paintwork and overgrown courtyards, Calke Abbey is purposefully neglected to tell the story of the dramatic decline of a country house estate. Discover the tales of an eccentric family who amassed a vast collection of hidden treasures. Visit the beautiful, yet faded, walled and kitchen gardens, then head to the parkland for the season’s floral displays. Join us and begin the day in Skipton; browse the bustling market, peruse the independent shops, or visit the historic Castle, there is much to see and do! Sheffield Botanical Gardens & Wentworth Castle Gardens
Today we head to Sheffield Botanical Gardens with time for coffee. Home to several listed buildings, the most impressive is the Grade II curvilinear Glass Pavilions housing plants from all over the world. In the afternoon we head to Wentworth Castle Gardens for lunch in the cafe before exploring some of the 40 acres of formal gardens and the national collections of Rhododendrons, Camellias and Magnolias. Haworth’s 1940’s Weekend
The village of Haworth in the heart of West Yorkshire’s Bronte Country is famous (amongst other things) for hosting a very special 1940’s weekend. The event usually involves locals and visitors alike getting togged up in 1940’s gear to enjoy a wide range of nostalgic events, which often include a RAF vintage plane flypast, a morale boosting visit from ‘Sir Winston Churchill” as well as spivs peddling their wares. Elsecar Heritage Centre & Wentworth Woodhouse: The Largest Privately Owned House in Europe
After a stop at Elsecar Heritage Centre for a browse and morning refreshments, we then take the short journey to Wentworth Woodhouse for a guided tour of this magnificent building. On a conservation mission since 2016, the mansion and 82 acre estate has been used in a number of film and TV productions including Mr Turner. The Welsh Highland Railway
Having made a refreshment stop along the way, today we venture to Caernarfon for a spot of lunch and a stroll. Then it’s all aboard The Welsh Highland Railway for a two-hour ride coast to coast through the dramatic scenery of Snowdonia to Porthmadog. The landscape is stunning and changes constantly as the train twists and turns along the tracks. Light refreshments are served on board, and the coach will collect you at Porthmadog for the picturesque journey home. (Inc. single ticket)

Today we venture to beautiful North Wales and the famous St Asaph Tweedmill. For the afternoon we take the short journey to Rhos-on-Sea for the coastal air along the promenade. Why not treat yourself to an afternoon cuppa or ice cream before we head for home?

Happy Valley, Shibden Hall & Gentleman Jack
The quaint town of Hebden Bridge is famous for its bohemian streetscape, first born in the 70s and 80s. Thanks now to the hugely successful Sarah Lancashire series ‘Happy Valley’, there is even more reason to enjoy a morning wandering the delightful town centre and having lunch in one of lovely cafés. For the afternoon we make our way to Shibden Hall; boasting a fascinating social history dating back to 1420, the Hall also played a pivotal role in the BBC drama ‘Gentleman Jack’. Written by Sally Wainwright, the series showcased the dynamic life of Anne Lister who lived in the Hall in the late 18th and early 19th century. You will have ample time to see the house, beautifully restored gardens, workshops and the carriage collection. (Inc. ent)

Having stopped for coffee en-route, we head to Holmfirth, the location of the famous BBC series ‘Last of the Summer Wine’. An old mill town and manufacturer of saucy postcards, spend the day strolling around the market, have coffee in Ivy’s Café/Sid’s Café, take a look at Nora Batty’s house, or check out the Last of the Summer Wine Exhibition Centre. Then complete the day with a relaxing lunch in one of the many cafés or pubs in this delightful Yorkshire town.
