Marks & Spencer from Past to Present

A British institution, join us on a visit to Leeds to discover the history of Marks and Spencers. We begin with a visit to the’ Marks in Time’ Exhibition at the M&S Archive, where you will discover the fascinating heritage of one of the nation’s best loved retailers. We then visit Europe’s largest covered market, Kirkgate Market, and the birthplace of M&S. Visit the newly remodelled flagship store at Trinity Shopping Centre before we head for home.

Middleport Pottery (Home of the Great Pottery Throwdown)

Heading to the Potteries we begin at the Affinity Shopping Centre for a quick browse and morning coffee. Our next port of call is Middleport Pottery, home of TV’s Great Pottery Throwdown. Beginning with a fascinating ‘virtual’ factory tour, we then have free time to explore and enjoy a spot of lunch. We complete our visit with tea/coffee and biscuits before we head for home. Barton Grange & Lancaster Canal Cruise

We start the day with a visit to the fabulous Barton Grange Garden Centre, with its inspirational plant and gardening ideas, decorative homeware and gifts. You will also find stunning seasonal displays and an award-winning Farm Shop. After time for coffee we board the luxury canal boat Kingfisher for a relaxing cruise on the Lancaster Canal; stunning scenery is accompanied by a delicious hotpot lunch served on board, sheer delight! The Lake District at Daffodil Time

Why not join us on our Spring day trip to the beautiful Lake District? We will call at Bowness-on-Windermere in the morning; why not take a boat trip on the lake or visit Beatrix Potter World? In the afternoon we venture up to Grasmere passing Rydal Water en-route. At Grasmere you will have time to visit the Wordsworth Daffodil Garden and a perhaps a tearoom for afternoon tea.

The Spring Gardens at Erdigg

Having called for morning coffee at Grosvenor Garden Centre we then continue to Erdigg, a superbly restored late 17th century mansion and much-loved home, garden and 1200 acre estate. Filled with the stories of a family and their servants, preserved in the National Trust’s most diverse collection, at this time of year the gardens are full of spring flowers with swathes of daffodils along the banks of the canal. Fleetwood Market & Cleveleys

Firstly, we visit the award-winning Fleetwood Indoor Market with its 250 stalls of treasures and bargain buys. After a morning in Fleetwood we take the short journey to the friendly seaside town of Cleveleys for a spot of lunch and a peruse of the lovely town centre. Don’t forget to enjoy a stroll on the beautiful promenade!

Sat 21st Mar

Llandudno Springtime Special or Bodnant Gardens for the Stunning Magnolias and Camellias

After a refreshment stop along the way and having delivered the passengers wishing to spend the day in Llandudno, we then continue to Bodnant Gardens. With the remainder of the day at your disposal, lose yourself in this horticultural wonder. See the magnificent Camellias and Magnolias, marvel at the old and rare Champion Trees, and soak up the atmosphere of the formal gardens. Late afternoon the coach will depart Bodnant, collect the Llandudno passengers, then head for home. (NT Members Free; Non-members £18.00)

Shrewsbury and a Boat Trip on the River Severn

Our destination today is the beautiful town of Shrewsbury; with it’s timber-framed black and white buildings, steep narrow streets and winding alleyways, there are over 600 listed buildings including the Castle (now a regimental museum) and the world-famous Shrewsbury Abbey. After time to explore as you please and enjoy lunch, we board the Sabrina for a 45-minute boat cruise on the River Severn accompanied by refreshments as well as informative and entertaining commentary. Stratford-upon-Avon

Calling for a quick coffee en-route, today’s destination is the market town of Stratford-upon-Avon. Famous as the birthplace of Shakespeare, it is steeped in culture and history. Arriving late morning, the remainder of the day is yours to do as you please. Go for a wander and get an authentic taste of Olde England, take a cruise on the river, visit a museum, peruse the shops and have a relaxing lunch in one of the many pubs, restaurants and cafés. Late afternoon we head for home.

Gaydon Motor Museum

Calling for coffee en-route and having delivered those passengers wishing to explore Stratford-upon-Avon, we then continue to Gaydon Motor Museum. Offering a colourful insight into the British motor industry from its earliest days to the present, the museum tells the story of the birth, decline and rebirth of the motor industry, and celebrates the skills and lives of the people who designed and built them.
