Llandudno Summertime Seaside Special

We make a quick comfort stop en route to Llandudno where we spend the day. Why not take a stroll along the prom, have a paddle, browse the shops or take the funicular railway up the Great Orme. There is always lots to do in Llandudno.

Loughborough Bell Foundry

Firstly, we call for coffee at Rolleston on Dove Church for morning coffee. Next, we venture to Loughborough for a spot of lunch then on to the Bell Foundry; the largest in the world and operational since the 14th Century, it is also Britain’s last. On our guided tour we will be shown around the workings of the foundry, which is spread over two floors, spend time in the museum and try our own hand at bellringing! Mon 10th Aug

The Derbyshire Dales – Peak Village and A Cream Tea at Carsington Water

This morning we call at Peak Village for a little retail therapy and lunch. We then continue through the scenic countryside to Carsington Water, at the heart of the site is the visitors centre with an interactive exhibition which teaches visitors all about water and the little things we can all do to save this precious resource. We have a cream tea in the Mainsail restaurant, which boasts stunning views across the water. Afterwards there will be time for a stroll and a browse of the shop before taking the scenic run home through the stunning Derbyshire Dales. (Inc. tea/coffee, scone, jam & cream)

‘Stream in the Sky’ & Llangollen

Our excursion takes us to the little Welsh town of Llangollen. We have free time for lunch and a meander before we board a narrowboat for a trip on the Llangollen Canal. One of the most spectacular and scenic canals in Britain and known as the ‘stream in the sky’ as it travels over Thomas Telford’s famous Pontcysyllte aqueduct, which is 126 feet above the floor of the River Dee Valley. Lytham for the 1940’s Weekend

Having stopped for refreshments along the way, Lytham is our destination as it relives the iconic 1940s. Nostalgic singing, dancing, displays, vehicles, stalls and more all awaits! Why not complete the day with a leisurely lunch followed by a relaxing stroll along the seafront.

Fleetwood Market & Cleveleys

Firstly, we visit the award-winning Fleetwood Indoor Market with its 250 stalls of treasures and bargain buys. After a morning in Fleetwood we take the short journey to the friendly seaside town of Cleveleys for a spot of lunch and a peruse of the lovely town centre. Don’t forget to enjoy a stroll on the beautiful promenade!

Harrogate or RHS Harlow Carr

Making a quick comfort stop en-route we aim to arrive in lovely Harrogate before lunch. You have the option to spend the day in Harrogate or take the short journey to RHS Harlow Carr Gardens. Harrogate is known for its floral displays on the Stray, there are plenty of famous landmarks and why not stop off for afternoon tea at one of the independent tearooms? Those heading to Harlow Carr will have the opportunity to visit the amazing 58 acre garden and wander around the Queen Mother’s Lake, the historic Bath House and the Alpine House, home to more than 2000 plants. Halfpenny Green Vineyard for tour, tasting & two course lunch

Today we travel to Albrighton to learn the story behind Halfpenny Green’s award-winning English wines. Welcomed by an expert tour guide, we will see the vines and the state-ofthe- art winery, which now produces hundreds of thousands of bottles each year. After a presentation on the history of the vineyard and the winemaking processes, we will enjoy the all-important wine tasting! Completing the tour will be a two course lunch comprising of a Cold Winemaker’s Platter & Dessert finished with tea or coffee. (Inc. tour, tasting and lunch)

Cholmondeley Castle Gardens – with an afternoon of Music

Stopping for refreshments along the way, we make for Cholmondeley Castle. Nestled within 70 acres of historic parkland, there are also beautiful gardens offering magnificent displays of colour and botanical delights. After time for a stroll through the grounds, the afternoon will be accompanied by a string quartet playing in the Temple Garden. Bring a picnic and garden chair then simply sit back and relax in this tranquil setting. To complete the day why not wander over to the tearooms for an afternoon cuppa and cake? (Inc. ent.)
