Daffodil Time In Sidmouth – Single Room Special

Sidmouth is one of the most unspoilt resorts in the country and undoubtedly one of the most beautiful, especially with Spring’s daffodils in abundance. Quiet and unhurried, it is ideal for a relaxing getaway. In the resort you will find delightful gardens, cliff path walks, picturesque beaches, and shops that still offer the personal service and friendliness found in a country town.

Our hotel is situated on the seafront on Sidmouth’s Esplanade and is perfectly located for all the resort amenities. The Royal York and Faulkner Hotel has been in the same family for 50 years and was the first hotel to be built in Sidmouth. The hotel boasts three lounges, a cocktail bar, health complex with mini spa pool, sauna and solarium. All rooms have en-suite facilities, TV, and courtesy tea trays.

WEDNESDAY

We depart Macclesfield calling for coffee enroute to Sanders Garden Centre where we stop for a browse and lunch. We then continue south to Sidmouth and our hotel.

THURSDAY

After a leisurely breakfast, we make our way to the small yet dynamic city of Exeter for lunch and a little retail therapy. Why not visit the fabulous cathedral, immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring beauty of one of Europe’s most magnificent structures. After lunch we will board the train for a scenic run on the Riviera Line, taking us along the side of the River Exe to the pretty seaside resort of Dawlish. With enough time for an afternoon cuppa in Dawlish we then board the coach for the journey back to the hotel.

FRIDAY

Our excursion today takes us to Exmouth for a boat trip up the River Exe complete with morning coffee served on board. When we arrive back in Exmouth where there will be time for lunch and a stroll before returning to Sidmouth for the remainder of the afternoon for you to spend as you choose.

SATURDAY

A day at leisure in Sidmouth. Why not take a stroll along the sea front, do a little shopping or visit Connaught Gardens to admire the spring flowers? It’s just a short uphill walk from the hotel and there is a fabulous tearoom overlooking the sea. The choice is yours!

SUNDAY

After breakfast we head for home calling for coffee en-route. Stopping for a browse and lunch at the new Dobbies Garden World and Cotwsolds Designer Outlet in Tewkesbury. We then continue our journey home to arrive in Macclesfield early evening.

Tour includes: 4 nights dinner, bed and breakfast; single train journey and boat trip with morning coffee.
