2 DAYS | Autumn 2026
The Bayeux Tapestry is a unique historical artefact and in a landmark loan agreement between the UK and France, it is set to be displayed at the British Museum in 2026. The 70 metre creation depicts the 1066 Norman invasions and the Battle of Hastings, the conflict which saw William the Conqueror take the English throne and become the first Norman King of England. It will be presented in the Sainsburys Exhibitions Gallery with other items expanding on the story and history of this period.

Our tour is based over two days, visiting the British Museum to see the Bayeux Tapestry and another place of interest.
