Warner’s Studley Castle & The Cotswolds

Staying at Studley Castle Hotel

5 DAYS | 21st February 2022

Join us as we enjoy a warm welcome at Warner Leisure Hotels’ newest member of the family; Studley Castle, a Grade II Gothic revival house, has been transformed into a beautiful hotel, bringing together more than 180 years of history with utterly modern facilities. This idyllic setting is perfect for a short break to explore and relax in rural Warwickshire. Historic Stratford-upon- Avon and the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are nearby. Why not hire a Pashley bike and explore the Castle’s grounds, or simply unwind in The Stables Spa. There is lots to do…and lots of ways to do nothing!

Studley Castle Hotel boasts beautiful modern bedrooms with all the facilities you would expect from a 4* Warner establishment. There is a choice of two restaurants, bars and lounges where you can enjoy occasional evening entertainment and the Spa boasts a pool, sauna and steam room. Some rooms have lift access.

We depart Macclesfield calling for coffee enroute to the rural market town of Evesham, where we will have time for lunch before our visit to the local museum. Housed in a 14th Century building that was once home to the Almoner of the Benedictine Abbey, the abbey was founded as early as the 8th Century, and today the Almonry, two churches, bell tower and cloister arch are all that remain of what was reportedly the third largest abbey in England. Having enjoyed this great little museum, we will then we head to Studley and our hotel.

Today we venture into famous Stratford-upon- Avon; a market town with more than 800 years of history, many of the existing buildings would have been familiar to Shakespeare. There is also a thriving variety of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants for you to enjoy at your leisure. We return to the hotel mid-afternoon.

A free day to relax and enjoy everything on offer at this fabulous hotel.

Today we head to Batsford Arboretum and Garden Centre with time for a stroll to admire the early Spring flowers, including the beautiful Snowdrops. We will have time for lunch before we take the scenic route through the stunning Cotswolds calling for an afternoon cuppa before returning to the hotel.
We depart, saying a sad farewell to Studley and head to the city of Worcester where you have the chance to visit the Royal Worcester Pottery Museum, take a browse around the shops and cathedral or maybe visit Greyfriars House and garden, situated in the city centre. (NT members free; non-members approx. £9.00). You have until early afternoon to explore this historic city before we board the coach and continue our journey home, making a comfort stop en-route we aim to arrive in the Macclesfield area around tea time.
