In and around Glasgow is where he created his best-known works and where much of it still resides today. Still employed as a school until the late 1970s, it is an essential destination for all Mackintosh enthusiasts as it was designed by the artist himself in the early 1900s. This stunning building now tells the story of education in Scotland and is a fascinating insight into Glasgow’s social history. Late-afternoon we make our way to our hotel to enjoy the evening at leisure.
