Staying at the 4* Bull Hotel
2 DAYS | 11th July 2020
Experience the world’s largest annual flower show in the setting of an historic palace; this year’s RHS Hampton Court Garden Festival transforms 25 acres of parkland into a blaze of colour. Garden lovers can marvel at the beautiful flowers and the innovative conceptual gardens showcasing the next big names. Watch demonstrations by celebrity gardeners, pick up new ideas and learn how to implement them via a variety of talks and demonstrations. During the weekend we also visit Wisley, the historic home of the RHS with one of the largest plant collections in the world.
The base for our tour is the 4* Bull Hotel situated in the charming town of Gerrards Cross. The hotel offers a modern bar, pleasant lounge area and restaurant. All bedrooms are en suite with modern facilities including TV, courtesy tea tray, and WiFi. The hotel has a lift.
We depart Macclesfield in the morning calling for coffee en route to RHS Wisley, the second most visited garden in England. A beautiful garden with romantic half-timbered Tudorstyle buildings, the canal was designed by Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe. There is also a rock garden, formal and walled gardens, mixed borders, a rose garden, glasshouses, a fruit field and an arboretum. Late afternoon, we head for our hotel, with dinner and evening at leisure.
After breakfast we depart for Hampton Court Palace, where we spend the full day at the Flower Show. If you would prefer to visit the Palace instead, we are happy to deduct the cost of the Flower Show allowing you to pay directly at the Palace. We head for home late afternoon making a comfort stop en route. We aim to arrive in Macclesfield late evening.
