Jersey, the most popular of the Channel Islands has a pace of life that is relaxing and rejuvenating. A delightful blend of France and England, it has a character all of its own. Here you will have no passport or language problems yet enjoy a climate which is the envy of the British mainland resorts. There are broad bays and sandy beaches, pretty harbours, beautiful parks, historic castles and fascinating museums.
The 4* Golden Sands Hotel is situated right on the beach in the centre of St Brelade’s Bay, and offers excellent views of one of Jersey’s finest beaches. The Golden Sands main restaurant where breakfast and dinner are served has views over the beach, the Cafe Bar serves food all day and is a perfect place to relax and enjoy a hearty meal including fresh local seafood, plus delicious desserts and ice cream. All bedrooms feature TV and tea and coffee facilities. Some rooms have balconies and many have stunning sea views. The hotel has WiFi and a lift.
We depart Macclesfield for the journey to Liverpool Airport. We take a midday flight to Jersey and upon arrival we are escorted to our hotel. In the evening we have a welcome meeting.
We will have a full day tour of the island today taking in many of the beautiful sights. We will call for lunch whilst we are out and about.
A day at your leisure to explore the bay and visit the little Church in St Brelades or take the bus into St Helier and browse around the shops.
This morning our excursions takes us to the fabulous Botanic Gardens at Samares Manor owned by Seigneur de Samarès. The gardens are diverse in style, extensive, and peaceful including a herb garden and Japanese garden. There is also a rural life museum where they have guided tours and a café, shop and plant centre. We spend the afternoon at leisure.

As an optional morning excursion, a boat tour sailing from St Helier will take you around the Elizabeth Castle you will hear fascinating stories of the saint who resided there in a cave as a hermit. It will also take in the sights of St Aubin’s Bay, Noirmont Point and the southwest coast of Jersey. The coach will pick up at the hotel and take you to the harbour. The excursion does not offer a return to the hotel so you can have free time in St Helier and return at your leisure. (Cost £19.00 confirm at booking if you would like to include it).
Mid-morning we head for the airport and our midday flight home. We are met in Liverpool and continue our journey home.
