Join us for a relaxing break at the welcoming scenic county of Dorset, a county offering the very best of countryside, coastline and attractions. Our trip includes an array of destinations from the delightful seaside town of Weymouth with its sandy beach, Georgian houses and Jurassic coastline to the fossil rich pebbly Chesil beach. There is also the famous Abbotsbury Swannery, Portland Island with its lighthouse, bird life and our hotel, and then Dorchester, the county town with its fine museum and market. The area has captivated film and TV makers taking advantage of the unspoilt countryside, dramatic coastline and spectacular historic houses and gardens.
Our base for the tour is the 3* Heights Hotel set on the summit of Portland with stunning sea and coastal views over Weymouth and Chesil beach towards Lyme Bay and Portland Harbour. This modern style boasts a bar, bistro and coffee shop, which have beautiful sea and coastal views and an enclosed courtyard with tables and chairs for relaxing in the sun. Bedrooms are en-suite with TV and hospitality tray. This hotel has only two floors and there is a small lift.
