Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1868-1928) was an architect, designer and artist now celebrated around the world as one of the most significant talents of his time. In and around Glasgow is where he created his best-known work and where much of it still remains today. Our visit north incorporates a guided tour of the city taking in many sights and examples of his famous work, including visits to Scotland Street Museum, House of an Art Lover and Hill House.
Our base for the weekend is the strikingly contemporary Hallmark Hotel situated in a prime position at the heart of Glasgow, Scotland’s second city.
