June Tours

Alnwick & Northumberland Coast & Countryside

Staying at The White Swan Hotel

5 DAYS | 3rd June 2018

Northumberland is a place of wild untamed beauty; the picturesque countryside and spectacular coastline can be explored in comparative peace, often only sharing the area with birds and animals! In this remarkably small area the variety of interests is extensive; explore everything from historic landscapes to colourful fishing villages, dramatic castles to stunning gardens.

Alnwick our base for the tour is an ancient market town that has changed little over the centuries. The winding cobbled streets and stone buildings are dominated by Alnwick Castle, home of the Duke of Northumberland. The White Swan Hotel is situated in the town centre. This 300 year old coaching inn has been carefully modernised but still retains many elegant original features. There is a pleasant lounge, bar and dining room and all bedrooms are en-suite with TV and hospitality tray.
