Staying aboard a P&O Cruise ferry
3 DAYS | 29th April 2018
Our Mini-Cruise to Holland takes you on a P&O Cruise ferry with excellent on board facilities including a fantastic selection of restaurants, bars and lounges in which to unwind, superb on board entertainment, including cinema, live music and casino. There are also amazing bargains to be found in the on board shops.
Keukenhof Gardens is the largest flower garden in the world with its magnificent display of spring flowers. Set in a 32-hectare park there are ancient trees, ponds, fountains and greenhouses. Millions of tulips, hyacinths, daffodils and special bulb plants are in bloom in several themed gardens, and during our visit you will have ample time to wander along the maze of pathways and explore. There are shops to purchase bulbs and gifts and several restaurants for coffee and lunch. This is an amazing garden and well worth a visit.
We depart Macclesfield in the morning calling for coffee en-route to Hull. We make a visit to Burnby Hall Gardens, which are often referred to as a haven of beauty and tranquillity and were the inspiration of world-traveller Major Percy Marlborough Stewart. The Stewart Museum within the Gardens is dedicated to his extraordinary life and contains the fascinating artefacts he brought back to Pocklington from his eight round the world tours between 1906 and 1926. Early evening, we will board the ship for our overnight crossing. Whilst on board, relax with a meal and enjoy all the ferry has to offer. All cabins have en-suite facilities included.
After an early breakfast, we disembark and make our way to the world famous gardens of Keukenhof where we spend the day. Late afternoon, we board the ship for our overnight sailing back to Hull. Whilst on board why not enjoy a quiet drink in the Piano bar or dance the night away in the lounge. Once again, cabin with en-suite facilities included.
We arrive in Hull after breakfast for our journey home. We call at a garden centre for coffee en route, and aim to arrive in Macclesfield mid afternoon.
