Scenic Wales & The Llangollen Heritage Railway

We venture to the historic market town of Mold on market day for a little shopping and lunch. Then, having taken the scenic route over the Horseshoe Pass to Llangollen, we board the Heritage Railcar on the Llangollen Heritage Railway. Following the meandering River Dee, some of the most beautiful scenery in the country awaits us on our way to Carrog. There the coach will meet us and making a comfort stop en-route we head for home. Friday 5th

One of Cheshire’s Hidden Gems – Norton Priory

Having called at High Legh Garden Centre for morning coffee and a stroll, we take the short journey to the wonder that is Norton Priory. Once home to a medieval church, it is the most excavated monastic site in Europe. Explore the museum with its thousands of objects discovered at the site and unearth the 900-year history as it transitioned from priory to mansion house. Meander through the gardens and medieval ruins, then why not enjoy lunch in the Refectory Café. In the afternoon we embark on a guided tour of the magical two and a half acre Georgian Walled Garden. Monday 8th

Sheffield & the Amazing Cutlers’ Hall

Join us as we visit Sheffield and The Cutlers’ Hall, set in the heart of the city centre and home to the Company of Cutlers. We have morning coffee on arrival before we are taken on a tour through this grand grade two listed building that houses a collection of local industries, followed by lunch sandwiches, scones, tea and cake. Wednesday 10th

Skipton and Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway

Come and enjoy a morning in Skipton on market day and try one of the local eateries for lunch. We then take the short journey to Bolton Abbey Station where we board the steam train for our nostalgic afternoon ride. Alighting the train at Embsay station we will have time to visit the shops and have a cuppa in one of the local tearooms. (Inc. train ticket)

Llandudno Seaside Special

Monday 15th

The Fabulous New Gardens – RHS Bridgewater

We venture to the New RHS Bridgewater Gardens. In a spectacular coup for the city of Salford, the Royal Horticultural Society have transformed the former grounds of Worsley New Hall in Salford into a stunning 154-acre garden. The site, which was once home to the third Duke of Bridgewater, and adjoins the historic Bridgewater Canal, has now become a beautiful green space for the local community and visitors to enjoy. Welsh Wanderer Tour

Our adventures today take us first to Grosvenor Garden Centre for morning coffee before continuing through the beautiful Welsh countryside to Betws-y-Coed. After a leisurely lunch we head down the Conwy valley to spend the afternoon in Rhos on Sea for a stroll along the prom and an ice cream before heading for home. A lovely relaxing scenic run. Summer at the National Arboretum at Alrewas

Calling for coffee at Findern Garden Centre en-route we head to Alrewas for a day at the magnificent National Arboretum. Take a stroll or ride on the land train through the parkland to see the many moving memorials that honour those that have fallen in war. Exploring the Yorkshire Sculpture Park

Firstly, we venture to Pot House Hamlet for our morning coffee stop. Our journey then takes us to the fabulous Yorkshire Sculpture Park; the 18th-century Bretton Hall estate is home to over 100 world-class sculptures and installations over its 500-acre site. Why not bring a picnic to enjoy in the grounds or perhaps treat yourself to lunch in the restaurant or café. Staying until late afternoon you will have lots of time to explore. (Inc. Ent.)
