Liverpool & The Floating Grace Cruise

With a morning at leisure in the dynamic city of Liverpool, there are many options from museums to shops for you to explore. At 1.00p.m. it’s all board the Floating Grace for a cruise around the waters of Albert Dock, all accompanied by a delicious afternoon tea with sandwiches, scones and cake. Heading south under Gower Street Bridge and into Wapping Basin, passing the big wheel and the entrance to Duke Dock, the boat then continues on a scenic tour of the iconic docks and Liverpool Marina. Chatsworth Country Fair

The Chatsworth Country Fair is one of England’s most spectacular annual outdoor events. Held in Chatsworth Park in the heart of the Peak District, there is a packed programme of grand ring entertainment, rows of stalls, a cookery theatre and even a fine food village. In the showground you can try your hand at heritage country sports, rural country crafts, and admire the vintage and military vehicles on display. With so much to see and do, the Chatsworth Country Fair is a truly memorable day out for all! (Inc. entrance).

Sunday 6th

Nantwich Food Festival

For one long weekend each year, Nantwich is transformed into a food lover’s paradise; with three marquees full of high quality food and drink brought to you by producers from across the country and beyond, there is something for every age, taste and wallet. The free entrance, includes all music stages as well as demonstrations by celebrities and many local chefs. When your appetite has been satisfied you will also have time to enjoy the delights of Nantwich itself, with its medieval timbered buildings dotted around the town, bijoux boutiques and antiques dealers.

Thursday 10th

Steaming through Wales

Today we make our way to St Asaph Tweedmill for a little retail therapy and lunch in the cafe. We then travel over the picturesque Horseshoe Pass to Llangollen, to board the steam train, where we are in for a wonderful journey alongside the stunning River Dee, the scenery is some of the best in the country and should be particularly fantastic at this time of year. Friday 18th

Saltaire & The David Hockney Gallery

We begin our day with a stop for coffee before heading to Saltaire. This fascinating town was created by Sir Titus Salt, a local wool-stapler, who earned a vast fortune importing alpaca wool from South America. The mansion-like mill today houses Europe’s largest collection of work by the famous artist David Hockney. After enjoying free time to visit the Gallery and have lunch we meet our guide for a walking tour of the many interesting buildings around the area, giving you an insight in to the town’s historic past. Saturday 26th

Skipton for the Day or The Yarndale Market

Join us for a delightful day in Skipton with ample time to visit the market, the castle, a boat trip on the canal, or simply a leisurely lunch. Alternatively, head to the Yarndale Market as Skipton’s Auction Mart is transformed into an exciting and inspirational home for yarn lovers. Whether it’s knitting, crochet, spinning, dyeing or felting, you will find something at Yarndale to inspire you. The coach will drop everyone off in the centre of Skipton where you can easily walk to the Yarndale or there is a shuttle bus service to take you the short journey.

Monday 28th

Shrewsbury with a boat trip on the River Severn

We spend the day in the beautiful town of Shrewsbury with its timber-framed black and white buildings, steep narrow streets and alleyways. Home to over 600 listed buildings there is much to choose from, why not visit the castle, now a regimental museum, or the world famous Shrewsbury Abbey, home of the fictional Brother Cadfael. There will be time to browse at your leisure before our relaxing afternoon cruise on the River Severn. On board the Sabrina we will enjoy an informative and entertaining 45 minute cruise with tea or coffee. (Inc. cruise with tea or coffee).
