Saturday 2nd

NSPCC Day Trip to Cheshire Oaks and M&S

This year our charity day trip is in aid of the NSPCC. We venture to Cheshire Oaks for morning coffee and a browse and you then have the option of staying all day at the Designer Outlet or to take the very short journey to Marks and Spencer for the afternoon. The choice is yours. Bucks Fizz will be served en-route. ALL PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED TO THE NSPCC.

Monday 4th

Early Spring Cruise on the Judith Mary with Lunch

Together we will take a scenic run though the Chatsworth Estate which should be full of the signs of spring. Then we make our way to Bakewell where we stop for morning coffee and to enjoy the beautiful town. We return to Whaley Bridge where we board the Judith Mary for our two hour cruise along the Upper Peak Forest Canal whilst partaking in a lovely two course lunch. (Inc. cruise and lunch)

Thursday 7th

Crocus Special – Poulton Le Fylde and Fish & Chips

We head first to Poulton-le-Fylde to admire the amazing display of crocus at St. Chad’s Church and to have morning coffee. Around lunchtime we head for Lytham St Annes for fish and chips at Seafarers. There will be free time for a stroll along the prom in Lytham before our run home. (Inc. Fish, chips and peas, tea/coffee, bread and butter)

Tuesday 12th

The Sweet Tooth Tour: Chocolate House & More

Firstly we visit The Chocolate House, where we will be greeted with a chocolate taster and a coffee. We then take our seats for a fantastic chocolate making demonstration, after which we sample the delicious chocolates that have been made. The second part of our tour takes us to Oswaldtwistle Mills with time for lunch and a little retail therapy. (Includes visit to Chocolate House and coffee)

Monday 18th

Lichfield & Amerton Working Farm

Calling for coffee en-route to Lichfield with its beautiful Cathedral, pleasant parks, delightful shopping centre and local market. After lunch we take the short journey to The Craft Centre at Amerton Working Farm where we have time for a browse and a luscious cream tea. (Inc. cream tea)

Wednesday 20th

Loughborough Bell Foundry

We call first for coffee en-route at one of the churches that have bells which have been cast at the famous Foundry. We then venture on to Loughborough for lunch and then to the Bell Foundry, the largest in the world and operational since the 14th century. There will be a guided tour around the works of the foundry and you will have time to spend in the wonderful museum with a room full of bells for you to try! (Inc. guided tour & coffee).

Saturday 23rd

Daffodil Time at Howarth & Bronte Country or a Day on The Keighly to Worth Valley Railway

Firstly we will call at Gordon Riggs Garden Centre for morning coffee and a browse. We then continue on to Howarth for the remainder of the day, where you will have ample time to visit the Bronte Parsonage and to meander around the quaint shops in the village. Alternatively the coach will drop you off at Howarth Station for you to enjoy a day on the Keighly to Worth Valley Railway and the opportunity to visit the two Railway Museums at Ingrow. (Train ticket payable on the day is approx. £13.00)

Tuesday 26th

Springtime Welsh Wanderers Special

Our visit today takes us to Plassy Craft Centre for morning coffee before continuing through the beautiful Welsh countryside and on to Betws-y-Coed. After a leisurely lunch we continue down the Conwy valley to spend the afternoon in Rhos on Sea where we have time for a stroll along the prom and an ice cream. We then head for home. A lovely relaxing and scenic day out.
