Tuesday 5th

Liverpool: Museums, Art Galleries & Shops

Enjoy a full day at your leisure in the famous city of Liverpool. Take advantage of the Hop-on-Hop-off Bus or visit one of the many attractions at Albert Dock. There is so much to see and do and the choice is yours! We leave Liverpool late afternoon and head for home.

Tuesday 5th

Walker Art Gallery Liverpool & The Lady Lever Art Gallery Port Sunlight

Firstly, we head into Liverpool to the Walker Art Gallery where we spend the morning. We will then head to Port Sunlight to spend the afternoon at the Lady Lever Art Gallery. Entrance to the galleries are free of charge and there are cafés at both locations for you to enjoy coffee and lunch.

Monday 18th

Snowdrops: Bents Garden Centre & Weeping Ash Gardens

We make our way to Bents Garden Centre and upon arrival we will visit the Weeping Ash Gardens to admire the snowdrops. The garden was created by retired Nurseryman John Bent. After our visit we will have time for lunch and to browse the fabulous garden centre. (Snowdrop Garden Weather Dependent) – (Donation inc. in cost)

Friday 22nd

Wakefield Festival of Food, Drink and Rhubarb

Making a comfort stop en route we will make our way to Wakefield for their annual Food, Drink and Rhubarb festival. Wakefield is part of the Rhubarb Triangle, an area that has grown the best forced rhubarb for hundreds of years. The festival celebrates the pink vegetable which has received protected name status, and brings the city streets alive with colourful market stalls and food demonstrations.

Tuesday 26th

Go Potty in the Potteries – Potteries Museum & Emma Bridgewater Factory Tour

We will make our way to the Emma Bridgewater Factory where we will have time for morning coffee before our guided tour. The tour lasts about an hour after which we will have time to visit the shops before we make the short journey to the exciting Potteries Museum. There are displays and exhibitions that explore the famous Staffordshire Hoard, local ceramics and local history of the Potteries. (Inc. factory tour at Emma Bridgewater Pottery).
