Stratford Upon Avon with a Cruise on the River Avon

Why not spend a day at your leisure at the famous birthplace of William Shakespeare, Stratford Upon Avon. Calling for coffee en-route we arrive late morning giving you ample time to explore. This afternoon, we have the option of an informative boat trip on the River Avon. (boat trip £6.00 please state at the time of booking if you would like the boat trip)

Sunday 4th

Scarborough & Summertime at the Seaside

Enjoy a day out to Britain’s first seaside resort, Scarborough. The bustling town lies between the North and South Bay’s, broken only by a rocky headland on which stands a reminder of its historic past, Scarborough’s Medieval Castle. In the 12th century Henry II built the stone castle to defend the North Sea coastline, why not visit the castle, take a stroll along the prom, or take a donkey ride on the beach. The choice is yours!

Tuesday 6th

A Summers Day in the Lakes: Rail & Sail

We first call for coffee en-route to Haverthwaite Railway Station, where we board the steam train to Lakeside situated at the bottom of Lake Windemere. We then board one of the Lake Cruisers for a scenic sail up to Bowness where we spend the remainder of the day at leisure. (Inc. single train and boat trip)

Friday 9th

Shrewsbury Flower Show

Join us for a brilliant day at Shrewsbury Flower Show, where there is lots on offer from fabulous floral displays, and show gardens. Get advice and be inspired by some of the nation’s most loved gardeners and chefs at either of the two theatres. A fantastic day out not to be missed. (Inc. entrance)

Monday 12th

Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway and Skipton

For the first half of our day we venture to Skipton and its brilliant market. After lunch we take the short journey to Bolton Abbey Station where we board the steam train for our nostalgic afternoon ride. We alight the train at Embsay Station where we will have time to visit the shops and have a cuppa in the tearoom before heading for home. (Inc. single train ticket)

Wednesday 14th

The Midland Iconic Art Deco Hotel Morecambe for a Guided Tour & Lunch

We call for coffee en-route to Morecambe and the wonderful Midland Hotel. Upon arrival we enjoy a guided tour of this iconic building, we then take our seats in the Sun Terrace Restaurant for a sumptuous three course lunch. After lunch we will have time for a little stroll along the promenade to admire the art influences of the Tern project, as well as the famous statue of Eric Morecambe before heading for home. Friday 16th

Yorkshire Explorer – Grassington & Kettlewell Scarecrow Festival

Firstly we call for a quick coffee en route to the pretty village of Grassington, where we will stop for lunch and a browse. We then continue to the delightful Yorkshire village of Kettlewell to see the unusual array of scarecrows on display at this time of year. Then enjoy the rest of the afternoon at your leisure in Kettlewell.

Sunday 18th

Countryfile Live at Castle Howard

One of Britain’s most loved TV programmes is BBC Countryfile which is coming north to Castle Howard following two successful years at Blenheim Palace. The show explores every aspect of the British Countryside through exciting live arena shows, talks, hands on activities, animal and farming displays, the Countryfile kitchen theatre and much more. Making a quick comfort stop en-route and we spend the full day at the show, this is a brilliant trip not to be missed! (Inc. ticket)

Tuesday 20th

Leisurely Day In Llandudno

Tuesday 20th

Plas Newydd House & Garden, Anglesey

Having enjoyed morning coffee in Llandudno, we then once again board the coach and continue on to Anglesey and Plas Newydd, home to the Marquess of Anglesey. We will have time to visit the house, marvel at the Rex Whistler painting, enjoy the fabulous gardens and visit the military museum. Why not walk the hidden corners of Plas Newydd and enjoy the stunning views over the Menai Strait and Snowdonia. We will depart mid-afternoon picking up the passengers in Llandudno en-route. Thursday 22nd

Ormskirk Market & Southport

We depart Macclesfield and make our way to Ormskirk market, one of the country’s oldest and most traditional street markets held in the streets around the famous clock tower. There are stalls selling a wide range of goods at great prices. Next we will carry on to Southport where we will spend the afternoon, with ample time to explore the beautiful seaside town and it’s parks, gardens, pier and shops.

Saturday 24th

Summertime in the City of York

With the aim of providing you with a full day to explore the famous city of York, we head straight there making a quick comfort stop en-route. Renowned for its exquisite architecture including iconic York Minster and winding Shambles. There is a wealth of things to do with a day in York.

Tuesday 27th

Barton Grange Garden Centre with a Canal Cruise & Cream Tea

We first travel to Barton Grange Garden Centre for a spot of shopping and some lunch. Then we will enjoy a relaxing cruise on the luxury canal boat the Kingfisher. Sit back, relax and take in the delightful countryside all while we indulge in a delicious cream scone served with tea or coffee. Thursday 29th

Summer Time at the National Arboretum

First we call for coffee at Findern Garden Centre en-route to Alrewas and the National Arboretum, where we spend the day. Take a stroll or ride on the land train through the parkland to see the many moving memorials that honour those that have fallen in war. There is a large café serving hot and cold food. (Entrance is free but donations are greatly appreciated)

Saturday 31st

Bury for the Market, Transport Museum & The East Lancs Railway

Arriving in Bury in time for morning coffee, why not take the chance for a full day to do as you please in this wonderful town. Either browse the famous market (and try a little black pudding!), visit the transport museum, or take a relaxing ride on the East Lancs Railway.
